Safety

A job done right is a job done safely

DSM Safety Standards

OSHA

The DSM team adheres to all OSHA standards and practices at all times on every project.

Field employees maintain OSHA 10 certification or higher, while all field foremen maintain OSHA 30 certification.

Certifications

All field employees maintain all required certifications for any given job: Suspended Scaffolding (swing stage) and Stationary Scaffolding; Boom and Scissor Lift; CPR; First Aid. If it’s required for your project, the men sent to your job will be certified.

In-House Safety Practices

Field employees must maintain all job-specific certifications necessary to perform their roles safely.

Field employees must attend a DSM safety meeting every three months.

New field employees must undergo our extensive safety training during their introductory period.

Each new job has a project-specific AHA/JHA. This allows foremen to identify any job-specific hazards and offer the necessary training to all field employees.

Foreman and crew must attend daily AHA as required.

Foremen and crew must perform any necessary daily inspections. DSM provides inspection forms for scaffolding; aerial lift; full body harness; lanyard; self-retracting, and vertical lifeline.

Foremen and crew attend weekly “toolbox” meetings every week on site.

DSM provides Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) Safety Binders with relevant safety topics and scheduled safety meetings as required for any given project.

When The Safety Of The Job Matters As Much As The Quality Of The Work, DSM Construction Is The Obvious Choice.
